There’s a common misconception out there that you ALREADY have to be in shape to do CrossFit. WRONG.
We get it. It’s intimidating when you see the Facebook posts and hear the stories from those who’ve been at it for a while. You don’t think there’s any way you could possibly do what they do. Again…WRONG.
It’s true. The workouts at CrossFit Manatee are hard. To be effective, to achieve what you want them to, they’re supposed to challenge you.
But even if you’ve forever been a couch potato, even if you’re not at all in shape, we KNOW you can do CrossFit. We know because all CrossFit workouts can be scaled or modified to meet any age, ability or injury limitations you may have.
How is this possible? At CrossFit Manatee, we focus on this 3-part charter that’s designed to introduce you to CrossFit in a way that is appropriate for your current level of fitness and give you the support you need to develop your fitness in a safe, efficient, progressive manner:
Mechanics: Mastering the fundamentals of safe, efficient movement
Consistency: Demonstrating mechanically sound movement repeatedly over time
Intensity: Going as hard, heavy, and fast as possible while maintaining safe, mechanically sound movement patterns
So you CAN do CrossFit because CrossFit is for everyone. And at CrossFit Manatee we have everyone from out-of-shape (for now) grandparents to super-buff military personnel in our classes. Everyone is welcome, everyone supports each other, and everyone gets a great workout that’s suited to their level of fitness, age, ability and athletic experience.
